Ben Roethlisberger wants a chance to redeem himself after throwing five interceptions in a 30-9 loss to the Jaguars in Week 5.
“Obviously any game that we’re going to play — since it’s the postseason — is going to be a difficult opponent,” Roethlisberger said in a radio appearance last week, via Jacksonville.com. “But I think, just for me personally, I’d love to just prove that five interceptions wasn’t me in that game.”
The Steelers face off with Jacksonville in the AFC Divisional Round Sunday at Sunday at 1:05 p.m. Coming off of a bye week they are rested and ready to go, but the Jaguars are a formidable opponent. They are confident as well, and cornerback A.J. Bouye cautioned Roethlisberger Monday.
“Be careful what you wish for,” Bouye said. “This is what he wanted, so this is what he is going to get.”
Jacksonville was second in the NFL this season in both total defense and scoring defense. They held the Bills to three points and 263 total yards in a 10-3 win in the wild-card round.
