The Astros’ Game 1 loss to the Dodgers apparently got to A.J. Hinch.
The Houston manager was having a few drinks at the team’s hotel bar in Pasadena, Calif., Tuesday night when another party came in and began bashing the Astros, TMZ Sports reported.
It was at that point Hinch became angry and began yelling at the other patrons. The encounter reportedly became physical, and police were called to break everyone up.
No arrests were made, and both sides backed off from the situation.
The problem is, though, Hinch said Thursday it never happened and that “fabrications really suck.”
Hinch said “no altercation.” He said it’s “ridiculous.”

If it did happen, maybe altercation was the spark Hinch needed — the Astros rallied Wednesday night to defeat the Dodgers 7-6 in Game 2.
