Gregg Popovich for president? At least that’s what Warriors coach Steve Kerr thinks.
The day before the Warriors played the Spurs, Kerr and Stephen Curry said he would vote for Spurs coach Popovich if he ran for president.
“I truly would vote for Pop. He would make a great president,” Kerr said Wednesday via ESPN.com. “All jokes aside. I would vote for him.”

Kerr, who won two of his five championships as a player under Popovich, said the veteran coach has a couple of characteristics that would make him a good leader of the United States.
“Honesty and integrity,” Kerr said of Popovich. “Those would be two really key components for any person that wants to become president. Honesty and integrity would be fantastic to see. He would provide that.”
Warriors’ Curry agreed with Kerr saying, “He is great for the NBA and would be even better for the country probably.”
Both Popovich and Kerr will coach on the same court on Thursday as the Spurs will host the Warriors in San Antonio.
