Islanders forward John Tavares recorded his second career natural hat-trick during the Islanders 6-2 win over the Nashville Predators.
Tavares entered Saturday with six goals on the season. When he exited the third period, the Islanders forward added three more goals to his resume. Tavares’ first tally came twelve seconds after the third period’s opening faceoff.
As Isles teammate Anders Lee placed the puck on net, Tavares edged the Nashville defense for the deflection.

Tavares’ second goal came to be with a little puck-luck. He banked the puck off of Predators forward Calle Jarnkrok’s skate as it slipped by Juuse Saros.
To cap off his spectacular third period, Tavares picked the corner of Nashville’s net on the Islanders powerplay. Tavares’ final goal capped off the Islanders victory over Nashville.
