Keyshawn Johnson Jr. announces decision to transfer from Nebraska

Keyshawn Johnson Jr.’s tumultuous Nebraska career has come to an end.

The former four-star wide receiver announced Friday he will further his academic and athletic career at a different FBS school.

Johnson Jr. received a citation for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia in June, prompting a leave of absence from the program. Johnson pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Keyshawn Johnson Sr., at the time, said the decision to pull his son out of the program was a mutual one between himself, Nebraska coach Mike Riley, and the Nebraska athletic department.
