LSU RB Derrius Guice surprises 10-year-old with Christmas visit

Derrius Guice made a young LSU fan’s Christmas dreams come true.

The Tigers running back visited 10-year-old Alexis Palermo, who wrote to Santa that all she wanted for Christmas was a signed football by him.

“I’ve had a hard time thinking what I want for Christmas, and my mind can only think of 1 thing,” Palermo wrote. “I really love LSU football and my favorite player is Derrius Guice … If you could get him to sign a football for me, then it would be the best gift I could ask for.”

“I’m crying right now as a type this message on the way back home from New Orleans finally meeting Alexis and personally delivering her Christmas gift! I never in a million years from south Baton Rouge ever expected to be a 10 year old’s Christmas gift! You really opened my eyes.” Guice wrote of his experience.

Guice, who is LSU’s leading rusher this season, will look to help LSU defeat Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl Jan. 1. Like Alexis said, Guice rules at football, both on and off the field.
