Michael Phelps has a confession to make: He’s married. Oh, and he and his new wife, Nicole, may soon welcome a fourth member of their young family.
A TMZ Sports report outed the top-secret nuptials Wednesday, so Phelps was forced to spill the beans during his latest Facebook Live chat. It turns out the couple were married June 13, less than two months before the Olympic swimming legend set out for the Rio Games, where he added six more medals to his collection.

“You guys have probably seen the article that was posted — I’ve been married for a while, couple months,” Phelps admitted Thursday. “I had to keep it secret from y’all. I had to keep it hush-hush from you guys. Nicole and I are married. We are officially married, and now we are getting a chance to kick it and hang out now.”
Pressed by fan responses, Phelps added, “Why’s it a secret? Just because.”
Then he threw them a bone.
“Baby No. 2 two could be coming soon, but who knows, though?”
Phelps’ first child, Boomer, was born in May, slightly more than a year after he and Nicole were engaged in February 2015.
With his final Olympics in the books, Phelps can focus on some of life’s simple pleasures like raising a family and playing video games in outer space.
