Rangers hold moment of silence to honor victims of New York attack

The Rangers held a moment of silence prior to their home game Tuesday night against Vegas to honor the victims of the deadly truck attack that took place in New York earlier in the day.

New York City police said eight people were killed and more than a dozen others injured when a man drove a truck down a bike path in lower Manhattan hours before the game at Madison Square Garden.

The expansion Golden Knights have also dealt with tragedy this season. On Oct. 1, a gunman killed 59 people and injured hundreds of others when he opened fire on an outdoor concert in Las Vegas. The Golden Knights honored those victims before the team’s first home game.
