The South Carolina State player whose heart stopped during a game last weekend was released from the hospital Thursday in Raleigh, N.C., and made a surprise visit to his team’s game.
Senior Ty Solomon stopped by the locker room at S.C. State in Orangeburg and stayed for some 15 minutes of the inspired Bulldogs’ win over Brevard, only their second victory of the season, before he headed home to Charleston, S.C., ESPN.com reported.
“I was in the middle of my pregame talk when he and his father walked in,” South Carolina State coach Murray Garvin told ESPN. “It was so good to see him. All the players jumped out of their lockers.”
