UCLA cancels basketball game vs. Montana over wildfire concerns

UCLA has canceled its men’s basketball game Wednesday against Montana at Pauley Pavilion because of concerns over wildfires in the area.

The school announced Wednesday the game would be canceled along with any workouts or practices scheduled throughout the day.

“The health and safety of student-athletes, staff and fans is our top priority,” the school said in a press release. “Due to concerns stemming from area wildfires, tonight’s men’s basketball game versus Montana has been canceled. All other team workouts and practices scheduled for today also have been canceled.”

UCLA is 7-1 and ranked No. 23 in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll.
